This is the Aware Text Rendering Engine or ATRE for short. Now you can display UTF8 or UTF16(commonly called Unicode) files and text with ease. You also have the ability to display tables, lists and many formatting elements that are absent in default Authorware text displays. You can also catch word clicks, find the word number of word clicked and many more features. Authorware has lacked the ability to deal with languages other then those which use basic ASCII characters. With jscUtfFiles you now have the ability to open both UTF8 and UTF16(commonly called Unicode) AND be able to write them. This functionality is possible by escaping the Unicode characters into a format that Authorware can work with. Encoding type of the file can be automatically determined or you can specify a certain type. Using it is just as easy is ReadExtFile() and WriteExtFile() being replaced with jscUtfReadFile() and jscUtfWriteFile(). This is a single developer license, for site licenses please contact us.
